Fossil Mako (Desori) Sharks Teeth

The fossil desori shark is an extinct species of mako shark that lived in the Oligocene and Miocene epochs, from about 34 to 11 million years ago. It was a large shark, with adults reaching up to 14 feet in length. Desori sharks had long, narrow bodies and powerful jaws with sharp teeth. They were apex predators, and their diet likely consisted of fish, squid, and other marine animals.
